Travel in the north would be a trip that you prefer as there are more variety of things and places to do. Chiang Mai would be the center where most people start their excursions instead of Bangkok. Arriving in Chiang Mai is a perfect place to connect you to all attractions by route. Today we would ell you about the cave where many people love to visit. The caves in Thailand is not too difficult to visit as in other countries that we have seen they have to climb on the rocks or using many gears to get to see. Chiang Mai has some caves as well like Muang On Cave and Chiang Dao Cave for example. In this blog, we are going to tell you about Lod Cave in Mae Hong Son, one of the provinces along Thai – Myanmar border with 1,666 meters deep from the entrance to the exit. To get into the cave, you are going to take the long small bamboo rafting with the raft man as the cave has the small river runs through it. From the parking space, you could contact with the officer at the ticket box if you prefer to get inside. After you meet the raft man who will accompany you in the cave. You would walk a bit to the cave entrance in the shady trees. Once you reach the entrance take the bamboo raft and go! Along the small river, you could see a school of the Soro Brook Carp fish (Tor Soro fish) swim by. You could get the fish food from the young vendors in front off the cave if you prefer to feed them on the way. You couldn’t imagine how close the fish will be near to you. While taking the bamboo raft inside the cave you could stop by and explore the cave as well as seeing the stalagmites and stalactites and using your imagination to guess what they are look like. There are 3 chambers ( The doll cave, the pillar cave and the coffin cave) for you to explore before you reach the exit. Lod Cave is one of the places where you could stop by when you combine the trip from Chiang Mai to Mae Hong Son to cover 3 -4 days from Chiang Mai. However if you prefer to visit more places as you have more time and open with no limit, we would suggest the trip which would take around 7-10 days to cover the destinations even from Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai ,Mae Hong son and drop off in Bangkok for you to catch the flight back. Of course, we could do also the other way round by starts the trip from Bangkok and drop off at Chiang Mai or Chiang Rai Airport for the flight back. However these we are going to leave it to you because you could design the days you prefer.
