Rotee with smile!
“Rotee” becomes one of the snack for the people and easy to find almost every where. In Chiang Mai since we were young , we had seen this Rotee stand for many years. We always see many people waiting for the rotee form ” Aunty Day”. She had sold Rotee for long time. Located on the main street called ” Thapae road” on the east side of Chiang Mai old city wall. We always stop by for the delicious Rotee and now we found that there are many different flavor which you could order from the menus that hang on the roof of the stand on wheels. The price of the rotee starts from 6THB up to 45THB depending on which flavor you would order.
The Rotee stand of Aunty Day starts from 7pm. If you walk along Thapae Rd.. Before reaching Thapae Soi 4 , in front of Mahawan Temple, you could find aunty with her husband there. No matter there are many orders from people who waiting for the tasty Rotee or how busy she is. One thing you could find from her face is a lovely smile for all customers. This would show us that Aunty Day is happy and loves making Rotee for everyone. It is also making people happy when they see her smile when she cooks as well. If you have a chance to visit Chiang Mai. After having dinner or if you are strolling along Thapae Rd. back to the old town, you could stop by and buy some tasty rotee as you could order from the sign.
