Doi Luang Chiang Dao, Chiang Mai , Thailand.

 

     

Chiang Mai is one of the famous place to visit in Thailand, with the beautiful nature of itself.  This time , we are going to tell you about the mountains. Of course, you would have heard that Doi Inthanon is the highest peak of Thailand with 2,565 meters above the sea level. However it is easy to access to the top by car for you to see the lovely sites on the top. There is also could visit in one day from Chiang Mai city, but not Doi Luang Chiang Dao.

Doi Luang Chiang Dao, Chiang Mai ( 2,175 meters above the sea level) located north of Chiang Mai in Chiang Dao district. 85 kms from Chiang Mai city by the road no.107. There you could visit Chiang Dao Cave where now is the temple cave. If you have time you could also visit the top peak as well. However that would take  at least 2 days to visit to the top.

     

From the main street (Road no.107), driver more with the 4×4 only to the top where you could spend the night if you prefer the camp site. Sann Pa Kiea station is one of the camp site where you could spend the night in the tent with the lovely view of Doi Luang Chiang Dao as well.

  

If you love to trek, Doi Luang Chiang Dao is also the place for you. However there is the limit of time and season for going up to the top to keep the environment back to their e-co system.  The trek to the peak is from  November – March ( Total 5 months only). We do have to contact the officer if you prefer to trek to the top. This is one of the place where you could hid away from the big city and the busy life. Take a deep breath , fresh air, it is such a wonderful thing.
