Mae Klong Market , the train market , Thailand.

Markets can be found everywhere around the world however not many of them are very interesting to see and visit. Thailand is where you could find the local markets such as Thailand floating market , Damnoen Saduak ( The efficient channel) with boats that  carry their products, sell along the canals through the village area. This might be common as you could also find in some other places.  MaeKlong Train Market in Thailand is one of the markets you should visit.

This market is located in Samut Songkram ,92 kilometers from Bangkok. If you have time and prefer to enjoy driving and stop by on route it is ok. However the highlight of this market is going by train by getting on the train from the train station and continuing the ride to Mae Klong Market. The train ride is going to go on the rail to its destination. The most highlight of it is when the train reduces the speed and slowly moves through the railroad which cuts into the middle of the market. Slowly move through the small gaps where the locals still have their products set beside the railroad. The vendors would only move the shop canvas awnings to make its way to the station. This would take around 5 – 10 minutes. It is an exciting sight for you no matter if you are on the train or even standing near the railroad in the market area to get some nice shots of this incredible train market. Once the last train carriage passes the shops, the canvas awnings are going to move back to their positions like nothing happened. This is so amazing to see.You could also catch the ride on the train or drive in to visit. However in our opinion if you travel by car it would save time, but you will miss the atmosphere. Also you have to find the parking and walk to the market which you could miss. The highlight is the train to MaeKlong Market or Talat Rom Hup Market 8 times a day. We have shown you the schedule below. (6:20am/8:30am/9:00am/11:10am/11:30am/2:30pm/3:30pm and 5:40pm). Make sure that you are on time to see the train through the market as we don’t want you to miss the highlight.
