We had told you about many different markets in Chiang Mai where you could spend your time enjoying sightseeing and shopping to support the locals as you prefer for many times.

We did mention Warorot Market in Chiang Mai city, Toong Pha Bod in Sanpatong district, JJ Market (Jing Jai Market) near the old city . We thought that if you are a market lover, you will love it. Chiang Mai is one of the places where the visitors put on the top list when travelling to Thailand. Markets are very popular in Chiang Mai because the local lifestyle is very simple and not very busy as in Bangkok. Most of the new style of the markets are now usually located in the open spaces or outdoors  with the green shady trees. As people are more concerned about the environment and prefer green spaces as they want to avoid and run away from the busy hectic cities. One important reason is the situation of the Corona virus for safety reasons as the open space or outdoors areas has the wind flow which is good for the air circulation. Today, we are talking about the Chum Cha Market located in San Kamphang district, Chiang Mai in the local community. It is not a big market if we compare it with Warorot Day Market near the Pick River, Jing Jai Market near the flowers Market or Thoong Pha Bod local market in San Patong district. Even Chum Cha local craft Market is not too big, but  it has a cozy, comfy and lovely atmosphere. There are more varieties of products as well as food and other things to eat. The price is also not too expensive. Most people go there to enjoy and eat out. Hanging out here would be a great idea as well to kill time and fill your stomach.

The small market for the local community is now becoming famous and welcome for all visitors to visit and shop for the handicraft products. Produced by the locals in the area which are very unique and good price. Located around 20 minutes from Chiang Mai old town in Baan Morn Community. This small craft market opens every Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Only 2 days a week. If you have a plan to visit Chiang Mai and you really love the handcrafts as well as the local lifestyle, Chum Cha Market can be one of the places you should add in your visit while you have free time from sightseeing tours in other areas. Chill out and relax in a place where you can enjoy.
